This is the blog of Stefan Reinalter. Having worked in the games industry for the past 7 years, I have recently started my own company developing middleware/technology for games companies.
I look forward to sharing my knowledge with like-minded people by delivering insights into the design and implementation challenges faced in developing our company’s product, the Molecule Engine.
Very very cool blog Stefan! Really informative & enlightening. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much, I appreciate it!
Following the blog with great interest and am learning a lot from it. When is the engine planed to be “finsished”, and what will the licensing be?
Thanks, glad you enjoy reading it!
First engine modules, as well as licensing and pricing schemes will become available in October 2012 – more modules will become available for licensing thereafter.
Come back to the main site at http://www.molecular-matters.com in the next few weeks, we’ll be adding more content and detailed information.
I found out about your blog today at gamedev.net. Those are some great articles you got there. Hope to read a lot more in the future
I guess those article will help me getting my engine together and avoiding some design failures along the way. I’m still pretty new to C++ and this low level stuff.
I wonder if you’re actually German? Your name sounds like it is.
Anyway best regards
Gavin
Thanks for the kind feedback, Gavin!
.
And to answer your question: I’m from Austria, right next to Germany. So you weren’t that far off
Amazing stuff Stefan, we need more realtime radiosity solutions/middleware for gaming, will follow your work closely.
